Weekend Happiness
I took a moment at lunch today to just stand outside and revel in the sensations of the warm sun and cold air against my face. I certainly wouldn't mind a little more warmth in the air, but I am filled with warmth from within. Despite being dreadfully tired (4 hours of sleep and an 8 hour drive will do that to you), I am feeling very happy and very loved and my batteries have been completely recharged.

fyreseer's Priest~ess circle went very well and she is very pleased. I received an amazing massage from the one and only starwyse. I got to see our new apartment (we rented sight-unseen because of time and availability constraints) and I'm very happy with it - I think it will serve us well.
And last, but certainly not least, a fantastic, fun and flirty Aphrodesiac Party hosted bystarwyse on Saturday night! What a blast! I met so many wonderful people (you all will have to forgive me if I miss a few names, but I can assure you I will remember faces) - so many interesting people! The only thing that could have made the night better would have been if my fair bride fyreseer could have stayed on longer to share in the revelry. I am sure there will be more parties down the road, and soon, we will be in KC permanently, eliminating the need for that nasty drive through the silos and smokestacks (and cornfields, of course) of Iowa!
Big thank yous tostarwyse for the massage and hosting the party! Big thank yous to everyone I met for being kind and welcoming! I am definitely looking forward to seeing everyone again (either all at once or in smaller batches!) and getting to know you better once we move back home.

But I'm sure there will be more opportunities ahead once you move back to KC ...even though we're still 4 hours to the south. Trips to KC are frequent enough to help that along.
