Mar. 16th, 2005 01:50 pmSo I finally got to see the new trailer for Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. It's online here.
I have been slightly apprehensive about this film, as I know many other SW fans have been. Many people out and out hate Eps. I & II, and while I did like them, I will admit to being somewhat disappointed by them - they really could have been much, much better. So I was steeling myself for more possible disappointment with Ep. III.
But I must say, seeing this trailer has me very excited. I know it is difficult to judge a film by its trailer (what is 60 seconds compared to a full 2 hour film?), but it just looks really, really good. Even one of my friends, who was extremely disappointed with Eps. I & II, thinks Ep. III has a lot of promise based on the trailer.
And May 19 isn't that far off....
I need to start doing some research and get more of the backstory for this prequel trilogy. I know it has to exist out there. That is what I really wanted more of from Eps. I & II - 'cause they really hinted at so much of the politics and maneuvering that was going on, but never actually came out and showed or discussed it. I would imagine there is a ton of stuff out there on the 'net about it... Just have to start digging.
