I took a moment at lunch today to just stand outside and revel in the sensations of the warm sun and cold air against my face. I certainly wouldn't mind a little more warmth in the air, but I am filled with warmth from within. Despite being dreadfully tired (4 hours of sleep and an 8 hour drive will do that to you), I am feeling very happy and very loved and my batteries have been completely recharged.

What an amazing weekend! [livejournal.com profile] fyreseer's Priest~ess circle went very well and she is very pleased. I received an amazing massage from the one and only [livejournal.com profile] starwyse. I got to see our new apartment (we rented sight-unseen because of time and availability constraints) and I'm very happy with it - I think it will serve us well.

And last, but certainly not least, a fantastic, fun and flirty Aphrodesiac Party hosted by [livejournal.com profile] starwyse on Saturday night! What a blast! I met so many wonderful people (you all will have to forgive me if I miss a few names, but I can assure you I will remember faces) - so many interesting people! The only thing that could have made the night better would have been if my fair bride [livejournal.com profile] fyreseer could have stayed on longer to share in the revelry. I am sure there will be more parties down the road, and soon, we will be in KC permanently, eliminating the need for that nasty drive through the silos and smokestacks (and cornfields, of course) of Iowa!

Big thank yous to [livejournal.com profile] starwyse for the massage and hosting the party! Big thank yous to everyone I met for being kind and welcoming! I am definitely looking forward to seeing everyone again (either all at once or in smaller batches!) and getting to know you better once we move back home.

As some of you may have noticed, and much to some people's (including myself!) relief, I have changed my LJ username.

The old username (madocaodh), in addition to being difficult to pronounce (I don't even remember the correct way, LOL), holds little meaning for me now.

The first part of my new name is the spiritual name I have chosen for myself as I approach the completion of the first level of a spiritual development process. Akaash is a Hindu name meaning "sky" or "as great as the sky."

The second part is my sun sign in Mayan Cosmology/Astrology: I am a 13-B'en. And the archetype B'en is "the Skywalker." And there is the tie back to Akaash.

I wish I could find more resources online about Mayan Cosmology, but all my searching so far has turned up very little. One of my friends in Atlanta did my chart, but I don't have a written copy of it, and have had a hard time rememberint all the stuff she told me. So don't ask me lots of questions about Mayan Cosmology! LOL!

Actually, though, I am hoping to study with a woman in North Carolina who teaches Mayan Cosmology. Not sure when, though... the schedule seems to keep filling up with things to do.
