Stole this one from [livejournal.com profile] starwyse after answering hers...

If you had me alone...locked up in your house for twenty-four hours and I had to do whatever you wanted me to, what would you do with me? All replies will be permanently screened because it's a secret.

Then repost this in your LJ.

You might be surprised with the responses you get.

I am facing a serious lack of motivation issue right now.

And my back is acting up... I must have slept in an odd position or twisted funny in my sleep. Or maybe I am stressing about things subconsciously. *sigh*

Lack of motivation is a big problem. There is so much that I need to do... and not just work related: packing the apartment, exercising, freelance projects, photography.

Anyone had any experience with hypnotherapy or anything similar? Good? Bad? Effective? Waste of time/money?

...sitting here at work waiting to make sure the program I'm working on doesn't blow up.

We upgraded our CRM (Customer Relationship Management) application back in December. When we did that, a bunch of stuff that keeps the data up to date and does some really cool, automagical stuff behind the scenes broke. It's taken us until this week to get things to the point where we think they're fixed.

Of course, the stuff that broke was all stuff that the consultants we used with this project told us would be fine and that upgrading them would be a piece of cake. Ha.

Because this is a production system, we can't just go changing things willy-nilly whenever we want. We have to wait until everyone is off the system. Talk about work-a-holics. I mean, I believe in a work ethic as much as the next guy, but these people take the cake. They expect all of our systems to be up 24/7/365 and can get quite indignant when we have to take an outage, no matter how necessary it is.

So here I am at 8:30 on a Friday night waiting and watching to make sure this thing goes smoothly. I had a few initial bugs that I was able to resolve. Now it's just a matter of waiting on this last update process to see how long it takes so I can schedule other jobs appropriately. It has been running for just over an hour.

I would so much rather be at home with [livejournal.com profile] fyreseer. *waves* Hi, honey!

*sigh*
