2. American Pie by Don McLean (though I geeked enough that just for a second I thought it was The Saga Begins by Weird Al)

There are several others that are ringing a bell, but I can't place them right now...

Yeah...that was the only one I knew!

*laughs*

I did. Had to get to the end to go 'oh, that's the original'.

Yep - that's the original. What's actually on my playlist is Madonna's cover - but you can't exactly convey that in just lyrics.

I do like the Weird Al parody... and I think I do have that one somewhere. LOL!

Ruined by YouTube, I am.

9 is Dragostea Din Tei (with appropriate punctuation marks that I can't make), recorded by apparently several groups, but popularized by A Fat Kid On The Internet as the "Numa Numa Song". :)

OH!!! 22 is Bette Davis Eyes! I just got that one! I'm guessing Kim Carnes, but it could be Gwyneth Paltrow, too...

You betcha! It is the Kim Carnes version. : )

I can sing 10, but havn't a clue if it's actually called 'So Far Away From Me' or not. Nor can I remember the name of the voice in my head. I am thinking Dire Straits?
