In which our hero manages to find a proper Windows XP driver plus a small program that fixes the "Open Cover" error (which, we learn, is a problem with the driver and not an actual physical defect in the printer) and is rewarded with a fully functional, decently fast (if slightly late model) Minolta PagePro 1100L laser printer for $21.

You wanna trouble shoot my printer tomorrow? It prints but there's nothing on the page and it says I have ink...and I should as it's a fairly new cartridge. Anyway, if you've got a few extra minutes that would be great :)

Yes, indeed. Although, I have learned my lesson, and this printer is not sitting anywhere near the edge of anything, so it will be much more difficult to upset. I am sure they could find a way, if they really put their minds to it, though. LOL.
